Individual Membership

Individual Membership of V-Tass is open to vocal coaches who:

Have at least 3 years of verifiable private or organisational coaching / teaching experience and


Either

Hold a recognised Vocal Coaching qualification (ABRSM, Estill License, Trinity, Voiceworks International, Academy of Vocal Arts or similar) or a P.G.C.E.  / Cert. Ed.)


Or

Are willing to undertake such training within one year of joining V-Tass. 



NOTE: Other formal qualifications (Bachelor's or Master's Degrees, Music Degrees, Performing Arts Degrees, HNDs, Professional Diploma in Music Performance etc) are highly desirable,  but not absolutely necessary to your application. 

This is because we at V-Tass believe that great musicians do not always make great teachers, and that holding a music degree does not necessarily qualify you to teach singing! 

We are therefore more interested in offering membership to those who hold a formal vocal teaching / teaching qualification, or who are willing to study for one. 

In this way, we are able to offer membership to practising vocal coaches who lack formal qualifications, as long as they are willing to undergo training .

£45 per annum, payable upon approval of application.

The name of two referees who can vouch for your vocal training work over at least a three-year period.

A brief summary of your current work in vocal coaching.

An outline of your field(s) of specialism (musical genre, vocal styles taught etc), where applicable.

Overview of other professional memberships, if any.

Details of vocal coaching qualifications gained (name of accrediting body, year gained, subject etc).

Details of any other relevant qualifications.

If no formal qualifications are in place, please state which course(s) you will be applying for,and with whom. 

Please ensure that you attach copies of your relevant certificates to your email. 


If your application is approved, you will be notified by email in the first instance. 

Thereafter, if you decide to go ahead, we will ask you to post a cheque for your fees. 

Upon receipt of this cheque, we will officially welcome you to V-Tass, and issue you with your Certificate of Membership, which will include details of your specialisms, if applicable.
